Tell me a bit more about your journey into tech.
I initially started learning how to code to stand out for instructional Designer roles, but as I delved deeper into tech communities I found myself leaning towards more tech positions, so I am now looking to go into an IT HelpDesk role.
What challenges have you faced in your career and how did you overcome them?
As someone who came from a different industry, a challenge that I have found is finding a way to gain technical experience. What has been helpful is participating in open-source projects and being active in the tech community on X(Twitter).
What are some of the resources from SheSharp that have helped you with your growth?
Being a guest writer on your blog helped me develop my voice and sparked my interest in technical writing as well as starting my blog, Chrissy Codes. Christine was also a previous recipient of SheSharp's New in Tech Scholarship
What advice would you give someone wanting to break into the tech industry?
Write about your journey. It can be a great way to inspire others to follow your path as well as present you with opportunities. Through my blog, I landed a volunteer role as a contributing writer at FreecodeCamp and joined a few paid tech writing communities.
