Previous Programs
Here are a few programs that we've previously run. We typically cycle through these, which means we will likely bring some of these back in the future.
Hacktoberfest
Hacktoberfest is an annual month-long event that encourages contributions to open-source projects on platforms like GitHub. It was initiated by DigitalOcean and GitHub to promote open-source development and collaboration within the global developer community.

Meet with a Recruiter
SheSharp partners with local recruiters to guide community members in entering and growing in the tech industry.
Talking to them will be an opportunity to ask career development questions, like how to find your first tech job, resume review, interview preparation, and more.

Career Coaching
SheSharp has partnered with work-life wellbeing coach Mel Liu of Maloney Coaching, to guide you towards maximizing your personal and professional potential. Mel is a software engineer turned professional coach who can help you harness your strengths and design and build a more fulfilling (work) life.
In this SheSharp x Mel coaching series, 3 community members will get the opportunity to work with Mel over 3 months — all completely free.

Feedback Group Course
Career coach, Dina Al-Alami and learning facilitator, Renata Kovacs are partnering with SheSharp to provide you with a digital learning and coaching programme focused on the essential skills of asking, giving, and receiving feedback. Dina is a trained career coach who helps tech professionals build impactful careers on a balanced, healthy growth trajectory. Renata is an enthusiastic learning facilitator of hands-on, interactive workshops focused on practical skills that can help us feel better and thrive in our professional and personal lives.

Open Source with SheSharp
Besides providing valuable experience, we think contributing to open source just plain feels good! That's why we've created several projects for community contribution. We've also collected general resources to guide you on your journey.
Whether you're a developer, a hobbyist, or just someone curious about technology, open source offers endless opportunities for learning, creativity, and making a positive impact. So, why not dive in and explore this exciting world of open collaboration? You might just discover something amazing!

New in Tech Scholarship
We previously had a scholarship focused on helping new folks in tech enter the workforce. We've revamped this to allow for women and non-binary people at any stage of their career to apply for our scholarships. You can learn more here.
