What We Do

SheSharp is a non-profit organisation based in the Netherlands, dedicated to making it easier for women and non-binary people to enter, stay, and grow in the tech industry. SheSharp was founded 8 years ago, and is run by a team of part-time volunteers and funded through donations. We provide a community-based platform for women and non-binary people to feel safe and encouraged to explore their career interests and be amplified; we hold in-person and online events, manage a growing online community, facilitate career development programs, promote our community members, and offer scholarships towards learning. Everything that we do is conducted in English.

At SheSharp, we are committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse community that celebrates the unique perspectives and backgrounds of all individuals. We value intersectionality, understanding that each person's lived experiences are shaped by the intersections of their race, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, ability, religion, and other facets of their identity.

FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions)

Can men attend your events and participate in your programs?

Yes! By default, we welcome anyone who is an ally to our mission to our events and programs, including men. Occasionally, we will host some events or facilitate programs or opportunities that only open to women and non-binary individuals as their intention requires that situation. In those situations, that will be clearly stated with the reason in the event or program information.

I love what you do and I want to help out. How can I?

First and foremost, join our community! By attending our in-person events or connecting through our online Slack, you can help others feel supported and connected and will in turn make developing their career easier. If you want to do more, you can volunteer as a community contributor or partner with us, if you are a business or can help facilitate a partnership.
