S#E, SheSharp, is a non-profit organization which fosters diversity in technology and entrepreneurship, by providing an open and safe community for under-represented demographics to explore their interests and potential.
As the name S#E implies, the primary group of interest is women in the STEM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), but the intersections of minority are very much welcome. S#E recognizes that creating a community around diversity in technology is a multi-faceted mission.
On one hand, S#E will facilitate conversation and dialogue amongst members who are in the STEM fields, providing a network full of mentorship, partnership, and leadership possibilities. On another hand, S#E will offer an opportunity to (further) develop various skills with programs such as coding tutorials, knowledge sessions, interactive hackathons, and more.
S#E hopes to empower and engage members towards successful endeavours in technology and entrepreneurship.

Business plan - main objectives
We believe our goals are best met through organizing events, fostering engagement, and providing education. We’ve planned to organize 10-12 events a year, approximately one event a month. These events will be comprised of lectures, workshops, collaborative engagement opportunities (such as hackathons) and networking opportunities, revolving around an educational narrative to help build our attendees personal and professional profiles. We currently have around 100 attendees per event.
Through social media we engage women and other minority groups to come and work together. We offer the opportunity to (further) develop various skills with programs such as coding tutorials and knowledge sessions. We would like the opportunity to give back to our members by providing them with access to perks that can help them further their careers.
By working together with our partners we hope to raise funds to be able to provide events that are engaging, educative and inspiring. We also wish to bring businesses and our community together by providing a platform where tech talent meets employers through a SheSharp new job offer page.
